Valladolid : Slow down in this colorful Mayan Town

Many treat Valladolid just a base to visit the historical city of Chichen Itza or the spectacular ruins of Ek Balam. But spend some time walking around this charming town and you will realize it’s a perfect place to slow down and experience true aspects of Mayan life and food. My wife and I loved the vibe of Valladolid so much that we decided to spend 2 extra days here just to walk around its streets. Extra days in Valladolid meant we couldn’t travel to Merida, but no regrets at all! This post is not about the things to do in or near Valladolid (will come up with that later) but a series of photos showcasing why it’s a Pueblos Mágico!
